Wow dysraw, it's refreshing to hear from a realistic Knicks fan. Barring major injuries to any team, I see them competing with Philly and Brooklyn for the 2-4 spots in the Atlantic. Like eventhorizon04, I think that should be good for a 4-6 seed in the Eastern Conference. My prediction is Boston, Brooklyn, NY, Philly, Toronto, with NY at #5 in the Eastern Conference. That said, Carmelo and Amare better be healthy all year or they will slip to a 6-8 seed at best.

So many young guards in the East getting surgery (Rose, Bradley, and Shumpert).

Hope they all come back 100%.

With Ronnie Brewer, the Knicks should be very much in the mix for a 4-6 seed throughout the year, but Shumpert will help them out tremendously, especially since if Brewer gets into foul trouble, the Knicks don't have any other guards who are elite defenders.

It's easy talking about high-profile athletes, suggesting things they should change in the way they go about stuff, areas in their game they need to improve ect. Or giving advice to GM's and doing that in a sometimes patronizing way. All that stuff is easy and everybody can do it / many people in the Internet do. This guy gets paid to do it, but he doesn't change his way to go about things or areas he can improve in, even though almost every published article contains errors and many people point his mistakes out to him.
He either doesn't read the comments because many are so negative (or internet-troll-childish type of disrespectful) or he just doesn't give a damn.

"they need perimeter defense and he is the one guy on the roster who can deliver it every night"

Ronnie Brewer

"come back from an ACL injury (which would have Shumpert taking the court around Christmas and New Years. But like Rose Shumpert "

If you use a ( , you have to also end your thought with a ) , otherwise it just read like 5th grade mumbo jumbo. Also, who is Rose Shumpert? Try: But like Rose, Shumpert....

Seriously dude, take some pride and read your articles one time before you hit submit.
