3-on-3 isn’t a terrible idea. Granted it is probably another system that favors the U.S. for gold, but it would interesting to see. It would probably favor athletic guards the most, given the extra space on the floor. Imagine a team of Westbrook/Durant/LeBron.

Actually, I like the idea of a 3-on-3 Tournament in the Olympics. I think it will be fantastic! But the FIBA version would be too Euro-centric. I mean, they would probably go half-court. And probably no dunking.

So basically, it may eliminate the fast-break and raw athletic abilities of the American players, yet promote the flopping,3-point shooting style of the Europeans.

FIBA is obviously run by lunatics. Beach volleyball is actually played that way; it wasn’t created for the sake of the Olympics.
