Jason Terry got another trophy tattoo. This one has a leprechaun, no kidding.

Aug 12, 2012, 5:00 PM EDT

Jason Terry famously got a tattoo of the Larry O’Brien trophy before the 2010-2011 season, promising to remove it if Dallas didn’t win the title. When he won the title, it was safe. Now he has another one. But this one has a bit of Boston flair. From his Twitter account:

So now Jason Terry has matching tattoos of the NBA’s title trophy, and this is seen as some sort of premonition or calling his shot.

In reality, it’s fitting that he threw the leprechaun on there. Since both the leprechaun and the Celtics winning the 2013 titles are both figments of your imagination.

(Not really, Boston fields a deep, veteran team, there’s no reason they can’t be considered title contenders, I just really wanted to use that line.)

Lol ya right!!!!!! Boston cant beat miami ,lakers, okc

  2. lakerluver - Aug 12, 2012 at 5:20 PM

Yeah, he’ll be getting that one removed.

    • dls612 - Aug 12, 2012 at 5:27 PM

A lakerluver ya don’t have to worry about D12 doing something as stupid! Lol!

  3. dls612 - Aug 12, 2012 at 5:22 PM

Why not a tattoo of the team you won the title with! Gonna be funny if he never win with Boston! Just stupid!

    • 20dollardinners - Aug 13, 2012 at 11:26 AM

read the article – he HAS a Mavericks tattoo with the NBA trophy.

      • dls612 - Aug 13, 2012 at 12:03 PM

But that was the Larry O’ Brien trophy only! Now he has the the Boston mascot! Thats whats stupid!

      • dls612 - Aug 13, 2012 at 12:07 PM

You read the article! It don’t say a maverick tattoo!

  4. deeballer - Aug 12, 2012 at 5:28 PM

The leprechaun is more of a self projected image of himself holding up the trophy.

  5. readysethike - Aug 12, 2012 at 5:31 PM

let’s wait and see what Dwight’s timetable to return is first before anyone gets carried away

  6. giselleisasucubus - Aug 12, 2012 at 5:32 PM

Laugh it up Heat fans, but the Celtics are loaded going into this season. The Lakers aren’t automatic to beat OKC either….

    • dls612 - Aug 12, 2012 at 8:13 PM

I’m sure Celtic fans are more worried about the heat than heat fans are worried about the Celtics

  7. lakerluver - Aug 12, 2012 at 5:47 PM

The C’s can beat Miami (should have this past season). And OKC can beat the LAKERS. All I know for sure is its gonna be an awesome season!! But if I were a betting man my money would be on the PURPLE AND GOLD!!

    • jwreck - Aug 13, 2012 at 9:47 PM

OKC can beat the Lakers, but the idea of the Celtics beating Miami is kind of ridiculous. The only thing that even brought them close was Ray Allen’s occasional hot hands. But Ray’s gone. To where? Oh… right… Miami.

Pierce and Garnett can still play, but they’re a year older, a year slower, and a year less convinced of their own abilities. Boston had a good draft, but both Sullinger and Fab Melo have high bust potential. Jeff Green is healthy (or at least seems healthy), which is great for the future of the fanchise, but for now, he’s pretty much a Paul Pierce body double. Boston’s biggest off season acquisition was Courtney Lee, a third Pierce/Green clone, but the worst shooter of the bunch.

KG, Pierce, Rondo, and Green clearly have the talent to get the C’s to the playoffs and probably out of the first round, but the thought of them beating the incumbent champs or advancing to the Finals is beyond absurd.

Black leprechaun tatt? might as well have added the king dunking over him while snatching the trophy simultaneously

  9. 00maltliquor - Aug 12, 2012 at 5:51 PM

That’s as stupid as tattooing the name of a woman that you just barely started dating for a month!!

That’s essentially what’s going on here! He just signed with them, no one knows where this relationship is going, especially if the team has injuries to key players, has a slow 1st half of the season, and Danny Ainge hits the eject button and resets the team. Who knows, he could be traded by the trade deadline if things don’t work out! Let alone surpass the Heat in the ECF (Although that may not be as far fetched as many believe).

Wooooow…this guy is gonna have some regrets.

Haha too bad my lakers will have another one next season not the washed up leprechauns

    • mickeylolich1968 - Aug 14, 2012 at 12:26 AM

okay… lets talk about the lakers’ bench…

  11. kjereld615 - Aug 12, 2012 at 6:13 PM

I love how almost every Laker fans has already punched their ticket into the finals already. Last i checked the road tot he Finals in the West ran through OKC. Even with all the Lakers acquisitions they still won’t be able to beat OKC this season.

  12. liljere24 - Aug 12, 2012 at 6:14 PM

Go ahead, bash the Celtics. One thing is for sure come playoff time, there is no team better equipped to beat Miami then Boston.

    • kinggw - Aug 12, 2012 at 11:58 PM

Yeah, except the Sixers, Pacers, Knicks and Nets. The C’s are living off of name recognition at this point. Lets be realistic. Courtney Lee, Jeff Green, Jason Terry and whoever else the Celtics added this off season aren’t putting Rondo and two past their prime stars over the top. The C’s are at best the third best team in their division and arguably the fourth. They had a good five year run and now its over.

    Very stupid.

I love how the celtics fans seem I forget that Bosh was injured for most of the series and thats the only reason it went to 7 games

  16. blue18hutthutt - Aug 12, 2012 at 9:13 PM

This overrated douchebag was lucky he even was along for the ride for a ring in the first place proving that a broken clock is right twice a day – one of the most overrated, big-mouth underachieving A-holes in the league

    • jjordannba - Aug 12, 2012 at 9:59 PM

“Along for the ride”? “underachieving”? You didn’t watch that Finals series did you bud?

      • blue18hutthutt - Aug 13, 2012 at 1:11 AM

Like I said a broken clock is right twice a day – how’d he do this year?

  17. lakerluver - Aug 12, 2012 at 9:22 PM

Kobe: number 6, the franchise: number 17!! Did y’all see how Pau played today?! Just wait until he’s in the pick & roll with Nash aka “The Godfather”!! Then we got SUPERMAN coming out of the sky to put back any missed shots!! CAN’T WAIT!!!

    • dls612 - Aug 12, 2012 at 10:08 PM

So you think your Lakers will pic-n-roll they way to the finals! Not! Lakerloser!

  18. lakerluver - Aug 12, 2012 at 10:05 PM

@blue18hutthutt, you gotta be kidding, right? Without Terry the Mavs wouldn’t have won that title. Right after he said LeBron couldn’t guard him for the whole series he went out and proceeded to prove it. Evidently you didn’t actually watch those games. Next season he’s gonna really help Boston. I don’t think they’ll even miss Ray Allen. And I must admit the black leprechaun is sweet!! Too bad it’s gonna get removed though.

    • blue18hutthutt - Aug 13, 2012 at 1:12 AM

The Jet crashed and burned this year and it’s going to be fun watching him choke again

  19. n8fite - Aug 12, 2012 at 11:01 PM

if boston stays healthy there is no reason why they cant contend. remember they took the nba champs 7 games and they was banged up. they have added alot of depth vets and youth and should be the 2nd best team in east. But HEALTH has alot to do with it

  20. imthedudedude - Aug 13, 2012 at 12:18 AM

What a loser, I once got a tat of this girl I knew for less than a month….

  21. manotas211 - Aug 26, 2012 at 8:49 PM

Terry is such a idiot to think the celtics can beat the heat or the lakers or okc. I guess that boston tea has his head in the clouds. Go Lakers.
