He obviously won’t sign an extension until the offseason because he makes more money doing so. To be honest I dont think Bynum will be a guy that leaves during free agency to win a title because he already has one. Money will be the main factor and I know for a fact Philly will offer him that max contract. He also grew up an hour and a half away from Philadelphia. Maybe I’m just being a delusional Philly fan but I think they go deep in the playoffs this year (barring injury) and he resigns.

Obviously you know absolutely nothing about Bynum. He loves money and there’s no way he leaves a max contract on the table (to say nothing of being a whole lot closer to his family) as well as the opportunity to finally get out of Bryant’s shadow and be “the man.”

Sixers go from having one of the softest frontcourts in the league to having one of the toughest now. Philly fans (like myself) have been asking for this for years now.

Not sure about that. I’m sure he’s not devestated, after all, he has the biggest front court in the east now, and should be able to pound it down low at will.
But i don’t know about “very happy”, Collins has been Iggy’s biggest chearleader over the last 2 years, and repeadely talked about how he is a guy he can build a contender around. For whatever reason, he fell in love with Iggy. I would think he has mixed feelings (when he should be ecstatic)

Iquodala’s on-court leadership is going to be missed by this basically young 76ers team. It will be interesting to see who steps up to fill that void.

Doug Collins is a classy guy. I hope some of his professionalism rubs off on Bynum or it’s going to be a long year and a short Philly career for the big man. Even if he leaves after the season, still a great trade to rebuild on with some cap space next year.
