Video: Just a reminder Rajon Rondo is pretty darn athletic

Aug 9, 2012, 4:07 PM EDT

When we talk about the most athletic young guards in the NBA right now you mention Russell Westbrook and Derrick Rose first and head down the list from there.

We tend to leave Rajon Rondo off that list, maybe because we tend to think of the Celtics as an older and less athletic team. But Rondo has a sneaky athleticism that gets overlooked. The Celtics posted this video on their Facebook page and we thought we’d pass it along. Showing you that he looks pretty fit and ready for next season already.

It’s going to be an interesting year in Boston.

Hat tip to SLAM.

Not bad, but not impressive either. Sorry.

I have been able to make that jump since sophomore year in high school. I’m 6’1″ and white. With a drop step I can land on a car roof (5’6″ or so) and with a running start I can land on a stack of pallets taller than I am.

It’s Earl Boykins doing Michael Jackson impersonation.

rondo made that look easy but that really was not that impressive of a jump

    • timb12 - Aug 9, 2012 at 11:29 PM

So he made it look accurate?

    • amazonfan0007 - Aug 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM

That doesn’t make sense. Saying that someone makes something look easy implies that what they did was actually difficult. In which case, it was an impressive jump.
