Phil has always gotten the most out of his role players so long as his team had established superstars.
Michael Jordan was winning scoring titles by the time Phil Jackson came into town.
Shaq had established himself as a top 3 NBA player when Phil Jackson took up the Lakers’ gig.

Let’s not pretend Jackson has this reputation for getting plucky young squads to overachieve.

Lilliard, Mathews, Batum, Aldridge, Leonard is a decent starting 5. Young and talented and with Phil Jackson at the helm, they’d at least grab the 8 seed in the West.

They could use some bench help but Phil has always been able to get the most out of his role players.
