Good call, brewdogg. Wes Johnson did little to impress the TWolves, and Beasley was never fully engaged. I can see the new Suns line-up running a lot, but I don’t seem them making any noise.

Ummm…. Well, Johnson and Beasley were with Rubio, Love, and Pek on the Wolves, and they didn’t make the playoffs. Don’t get your hopes up. There’s a good reason the Wolves included them in their big turnover this offseason.

I think B-Easy has a lot to prove. He reads the blogs ripping him at every turn (all in the name of website hits) and the comparisons to D. Rose. B-Easy let those things fuel you in the offseason and come out and play like a (LT voice) crazed dog and silence your doubters.

Or imagine if the Heat had won the lottery that year.

Suffice to say, either there would be no Heat Big 3 since the Heat would have gone even further in the playoffs in 2008 and 2009 with Wade and Rose, and Rose would be due for a max-contract, as opposed to how the Heat just let the disappointing Beasley walk.

LeBron might have ended up staying in Cleveland, or gone to the Knicks or the Bulls.
Bosh would either have gone with LeBron or Wade. Carmelo might still be with Denver. Etc.

Amazing how a difference in one draft pick would have re-shuffled a half-dozen superstars.

B-Easy won’t have to do it all.The Suns have had a great offseason overall and have added alot of talent all over the roster. 4 new players in the starting lineup. Dragic/Wes Johnson/Beasly/Scola/Gortat is at least a 6-8 seed and better if luck is with them. If he can just learn to dish the rock to someone else when its a bad look, he’s going to look very good.

If you’re thinking they would have Rose, Wade, James and Bosh that would not have happened. They wouldn’t have had the money. They all would’ve had to taken HUGE pay cuts. Plus Rose’s extention kicks in this year meaning it would have to be Rose and 1 (maaaaybe 2) of the other 3. But that didn’t happen and Rose is where he belongs. In his home town. Playing for the team he cheered for and watched win 6 championships growing up.

I know the consensus was that Rose was better than Beasley, but for there to even have been a discussion about the two seems utterly preposterous right now.

If the Bulls had somehow messed up and chosen The Beez, imagine how different the Heat would be.
