I don’t know… Orlando reminds me of Cleveland after the “Decision” when they acted like the “jilted girlfriend” in a breakup. Dwight Howard has made it clear, many times, he doesn’t want to be involved with Orlando any more. Many times. Now they act so surprised and hurt that he won’t come back and do things with them anymore. Take the hint.

I agree and I’m a magic fan, Dwight has not said anything in months and the Media is still finding ways to make people hate him. Plenty of players have skipped there own camp and we do not hear about them. I bet if he did not ask for a trade this would not even be a story. D12 is recovering from back surgery, and it seems like people keeps forgetting that. Why would he travel to Orlando anyways just to be surrounded by the media asking him questions about is he staying or is he not and also some of the people in Orlando don’t like him since he made it very clear he wants no part of playing for my Magic. I cant blame him at all for not goin.

He also had a good guy image due to the way he dressed up like Clark Kent with the old timey news reporter hat and glasses. He played up the goofy side of his personality because it’s endearing and light-hearted, but nobody buys that schtick anymore.

Howard is still under contract with the magic. He has been doing this camp for years now. There is no reason he can’t show up for these kids. These are kids Dwight, kids you Coward…. Parents paid $200 for 2 days of camp in hope of their kid to share the same court as their superman. What a shame Dwight. You are no superman, just a COWARD… Kids bro… C’mon man!!!!

Big deal. Refund the money and have the kids go to another camp.
I would not do anything in Orlando either.

The front office of the Magic is dragging this out with the hope that they are going to get some monster package. Sure they will.

If they would not accept Lopez and the rest of the stuff from Brooklyn before why would they do it at the trade deadline? Lopez now makes a heck of a lot more money and the Magic may not feel he is worth that amount. He probably is the way they are paying big men this off season.

Still, they want to try and make D12 look like the bad guy. Good job. How that helps the franchise is a mystery.

This “writer” wants to dump on D12 every chance he can get. So D12 stays out in LA. Why shouldn’t he? Does he contract state that he has to live in Orlando during the off season? His season ended when he had the surgery thus it was his off season. It is a bunch of BS. If the Magic want D12 to live in Orlando and stay there when the season is over then they should try and put that in his contract. I am sure that will go over well because they would have to put that in every player’s contract.

Also, this “writer” who is clearly not biased (yeah right) expects D12 to go back to Orlando after he had his surgery in LA. Why wouldn’t he stay close to the doctors who performed the surgery? If the Magic wanted him to have they surgery in Orlando why didn’t they say so? Perhaps it is the advise of his doctors that he not fly until his back is better? I do not know if flying would do anything but if he is still recovering from surgery then maybe he has to stay in LA which is close to his doctors.

It is obvious that Kurt Helin has once again, not thought his out before writing it.

D12 is not the first athlete to miss a camp and he wont be the last. Perhaps the “writer” would check with D12 or his people to find out why he cannot go before posting this type of article.
