As expected, Warriors ink deal with Brandon Rush

We told you this was coming, consider this the formal notification it is here.

The Warriors have reached a two-year, $8 million deal for Brandon Rush to remain with the team, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports and the NBC Sports Network.

Rush averaged 9.8 points per game for Golden State last year and gives them depth at the guard spot behind Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry.

As our man Matt Moore noted in The Inbounds, the Warriors have added enough depth next season to remove the chances of them tanking like last season. Oh, they’ll tell you they didn’t, but actions speak louder than words.

Next season Golden State’s reserves should be Rush, Jarrett Jack, Richard Jefferson, Carl Landry, Andris Biedrins, Charles Jenkins and rookie Draymond Green. Not title contender, but potential playoff contender in the West.

Golden State has a tough first half of the schedule next season, but if they can keep their heads above water they are well places with a soft schedule and depth to make a run at a spot in the West’s postseason next year.

Curry is a PG. Rush is more of a SF, so he’s not really going to provide depth behind Curry but still a good signing.

    Would you stand corrected?

The Warriors reserves SHOULD NOT AND WILL NOT INCLUDE ANDRIS BIEDRINS.!!!

I PUT YOUR SECURITY ON THE BALANCE FOR THIS.

ANDRIS BIEDRINS WILL NOT BE A RESERVE NEXT YEAR, EVEN IF THAT MEANS, WE PICKET THE LINES OUTSIDE EVERY GAME. ANDRIS BIEDRINS IS GONE!!! HE MADE HIS OWN BED!
