Another post from malt disparaging a guy for having a different take then him? Color me suprised.
So, Batum isn’t supposed to voice his opinion? Uff.
I don’t see them getting the Gold.
By the way, this faux patriotism gets sickening. If the NBA guys weren’t playing, none of you would give a turkey about the Olympics. It’s easy to root for a “sure thing”.

The United States has proven since 92 that when it sends their BEST players to the Olympics, they will go undefeated and win the Gold. Only once did this not happen and if the NBA sent out all it’s best player that year, they would have dominated and won the Gold. No Kobe, Shaq, KG, Tracy McGrady, Ray Allen, Pierce, Kidd and I can name other players who were on the all-star team that year that didn’t play in Greece. Wade, Melo, and Lebron were babies who begged to be on the team, Allen Iverson was given a spot out of pity as well. It was a sad team that had like 6 guys on it who weren’t even all-star caliber players. The United States has shown that when it sends it’s best, the Gold medal is a forgone conclusion and the NBA has it’s best over there now (minus the injured) right now! It’s funny how everyone says the United States are beatable yet they never lose. 2008, 2010, and 2012 is next. Noticing a trend? Oh yeah, it’s the trend that shows when the U.S. gets commitments from it’s players and guys actually want to go, they will win!
