More like this:

Thunder, Spurs, Lakers, Clippers, Grizzlies and Nuggets are locks.

The last 2 spots are open game for Golden State, Minnesota, Utah, Dallas, and possibly, just possibly, New Orleans, if Eric Gordon is healthy all year and Anthony Davis plays like a ROY.

Most likely, it'll come down to whose rookies perform, and who can go on a run in the last month of the season. Either way, those last 2 teams will get destroyed by the Thunder or Spurs.

Utah? They made the playoffs last year.
Portland?

The west is pretty loaded, Golden State will need all their players healthy and hope the young pups/draft picks do work.

Even with a healthy Bogut and a healthy Curry, I think it will be an uphill battle for this team to make the playoffs. I think their well-balanced (when healthy) but lack depth and have a good, but far from great starting line-up. Even in the west which most would consider the weaker conference, I can't picture this team of Bogut, Lee, Jefferson, Barnes, Klay, and Curry being better than the Thunder, Lakers, Spurs, Clippers, Grizzlies (playoff locks) and Nuggets, Mavs (playoff probables). If the season plays out how I expect it to, there are gonna be 8 teams fighting for that 8 seed. Personally I expect Minnesota to take a big step forward this season, they were rolling until Rubio got hurt. Wouldn't be surprised in Sacramento and New Orleans were also much improved. But anything can happen in the NBA and I guess that's why you play the game.
