That philosophy carries over in all walks of life.

Should you listen to and respect the ideals of a business owner that has started a small business and grows it to a successful corporation. OR should you take all of your information from a professor, that has never owned a business, been an employee of the university his entire career but can explain all the business strategies “in theory”.

Because of his ability to evaluate talent and give the hard core facts is why people listen when “the round mound of rebound” talks. So regardless of his imperfect use of the kings language, the guy knows bball.

While I don’t question his ability to analyze the on court game, it seams his understanding of the CBA rules is no better than Kurt Helin’s.

footnote: He is wrong for two reasons. First, only contacts signed under the old CBA (before Dec. 2011) can be amnestied. Second, each team gets only 1 amnesty and the Knicks used theirs on Billups. What they can do is cut him and stretch the cap hit over 3 seasons, easing the tax burden, but that is a lot different than amnestying the contract.
