He probably made quite a nice living. Like being a career NFL backup QB who sticks as a #2, an NBA backup with a decade career is a pretty sweet gig.

I figured he probably made a cool $10-12 mil, thinking he made minimums as a 2nd round pick for a few years and then had a nice little bump.

Then I go to his basketball-reference page… $37 million! WTH? He was making over $7 million at some point. Based on the salary breakdown it looks like he got a $36/6 deal. Sure enough, he had his career year ( 7/8 averages in 81 starts!) in his 3rd season contract year. And never did anything at all again.
