He is waiting to officially retire until some team buys out his contract. Once they buy out his contract (for about $848,000), then he will retire. I assume he doesn’t get the money if he retires first.

it should also read “traded ALONG WITH” Brad Miller’s. Minnesota actually gave up 2 second rounders (Brooklyn’s 2013 and Minnesotas 2016) for a conditional second rounder. Basically, Minnesota clears cap space now and paid 2 second round picks rather than the 800k buyout on the contract. Cash / cap dump for them. N’awlins pays the 800k for 2 picks.

Meanwhile, Miller, who stated before the season was even over he was done, collects one last NBA paycheck before going to film hunting shows.

I see the wolves getting multiple players instead of Batum. Jordan Hill played with D-Will in Arizona and they could play off of eachother and come off the bench together this coming season. I could also see Mayo having interest in coming here and securing the starting 2 spot or Courtney Lee coming in to do the same. Also the white center from the C’s with the hard to spell off the top of your head last name. Suddenly we could go from no depth to a team with a deep bench.
