Clippers and Spurs are over the cap. Teams must be under the cap to make a bid in this process. He can be back-up for both, 4 and 5, that should be playing time enough. And they could go big for some time without a small forward.

If they get him, the Mavs are significantly better compared to last year, because they closed their big hole on the 5, and still have a solid PG instead of an old genius. And they still have a 8,9 Mio trade exception.

Happy enough to of won a title. We also picked up Kaman and Collison. Not the greatest pick ups but can’t be a contender every year.

What position would he play? They have Dirk at the 4, and Kaman at the 5. Would he want to be a backup? Figured he’d rather go to a place like the Spurs, where he could slide in next to Duncan and enjoy getting good playing time on a title contender.

So Dallas makes a run for a few All-Stars like Dwight and Williams and gets turned down, losses key players in Terry and Kidd, and now its best offseason acquisition could possibly be Elton Brand? they have come a long way since winning the title a few season ago.
