nah, he was drafted by Boston and Doc always regretted not being able to work more with him. Greens maturity, or lack thereof, didn’t help.

Don’t hate because players love playing for Doc Rivers…

I think 3 yr. @ 10 mil. is a bargain. At 15.3 ppg, they’d be crazy not to match! Aside from that, Brooklyn, new arena… Let ‘em have some dunking fun!

Was hoping Boston would use their bi-annual exception to sign him. Doc would have turned him into an all-star caliber player this go around.

3-yr, $10 million is a bit much for him…well, maybe.

I suppose it’s an ok deal. He’s the kind of player who needs someone effective running the point for him to make an impact. There’s a reason his best season came while playing alongside Deron Williams. When he’s on the second unit with either DJ Augustin, Lance Stephenson or AJ Price running the point he is going to massively struggle on offense. I understand the appeal behind signing Green versus OJ Mayo, because otherwise Danny Granger has no viable backup (now that D. Jones is gone), but I can’t see Green making much of an impact on the Pacers. I also may be in the minority but I don’t see much growth potential here, I mean he was drafted 7 years ago!

I have always liked Green but I guess this puts the nail in the OJ Mayo talk. Green has worked hard so good for him.
