i don’t think we’ll see as much iso as everyone is expecting…if you look at the number of shots taken during that stretch melo deferred to lin a lot in the limited time they played together and the reason the knicks were doing so well with lin is because they were attacking the paint instead of settling for outside jumpers and melo only went back to iso once they went back to having no real legit point guard

yeah we signed Novak big deal the Knicks did not make the splash in free agency that i expected them to make up to this point im very discouraged by the poor level of recruiting and lack of creativity at this point we are still 6th to 8th seed teams are making moves improving themselves and the go an dig up J Kidd no knock on Kidd 10 years ago he would dismantle teams single handed. today hes a great back up with assistant coach stature an that’s cool to we need big guns to stand out front

Novak was a no-show against the Heat in the playoffs. He is a one-dimensional shooter who can’t score if a defender is up close and can’t create his own shot. All good reasons for why the Spurs passed him along. With his poor defensive skills and total reliability on his 3-point shot, would be surprised if he lasts long with the Knicks.

Unfortunately the Knicks will be playing Melo Iso’s, which doesn’t involve a huge amount to Lin driving or Melo kicking it out (or Amare doing anything).

i think he can be even better if the knicks keep lin and he’s able to stay healthy for most of the season…novak thrives off kickouts and once lin went down bdiddy and bibby didn’t penetrate as much as they should have and novak was forced into a lot of contested threes whereas lin got him a lot of wide open looks when the defense would collapse in…lin’s game is predicated on getting into the paint and make things happen so let’s hope he and novakaine can get it going again next season

Good move, on the cheap…can obviously help, him and JR made for some exciting moments last year…now if they can just get the ball moving…out to these shooters…you know…instead of sitting on the block in #7 hands the whooooooole time.
