Here is your NBA Vegas Summer League schedule

Summer League is the Spring Training of the NBA. Kind of. It’s very casual, fans can get a lot closer to players than during the regular season, you get to see a lot of prospects up close, you can follow the top draft rookies and/or the guys trying to get that 15th roster spot, and everyone from the industry seems to be there.

PBT will have you covered. I will be there for the opening half (I’m in Vegas before for part of USA Basketball training camp for the Olympics) and Scott Schroeder will be there for almost every minute of the action. If you can’t get out to melt in the desert in the middle of July, NBA TV will show all 60 games (39 live) and some other networks will carry specific teams (MSG will have some Knicks games, for example).

Below is the schedule, so you know when to set your DVR (the first Anthony Davis/Hornets game is Sunday night). The games are spread out across adjoining buildings (COX Pavilion and the Thomas & Mack) and run simultaneously at points.

I am actually pretty interested in watching the Cavs games. Kyrie Irving, Tristan Thompson, Dion Waiters and Tyler Zeller are all slated to play. You can pretty much watch the 2012-13 team (minus Anderson Varejao, Daniel Gibson and maybe Alonzo Gee) early.

It has been talked about that Gee is supposed to play as well as long as his contract is signed by then.

Do not all teams participate in summer league? For example, OKC is not on there nor is Brooklyn.
