If the only reason that a team wants Jeremy is the marketing there is something that is kind of wrong there. I mean he is a solid PG but there are better players in this PG FA class that should be getting looked at more. I’m not a Lin hater by any means, I’m just saying lets not get ahead of ourselves too much

Well children, the 2 biggest markets for Asians are LA and New York. Period. Forget China , that $$ goes straight to Herr Stern and the NBA owners( $$ gets divided by 30) So for the team that signs him, the tickets and local marketing are dollars in their pocket.As in the case of Time Warner cable that screwed over 2.2 million local NYC people that wanted to watch Lin but couldn’t until they got paid by Cablevision’s big $$$ . Following me so far. ? Next, Lin and Wall Street join forces and with Jewish $$, Lin gets access to Warren Buffet and has lunch with his buddy LBJ ( yes, it’s true Cleveland, choke on it). LBJ and Lin join forces with Blackstone Hedge fund and open massive clothing and food lines, with vertical intergrated holding companies in Hong Kong for accounting and tax purposes. Still with me ? Then Lin opts out, goes to Heat, wins 3 rings with LBJ, Bosh and cranky Wade and Riley is eating Dim Sum everyday. Now take your cookies and milk and go to bed. !

I think Lin is a good player but could be easily shutdown with a good defense. He is more valuable as a marketing tool like Yao Ming, not only to the Rockets but to the NBA expansion in China.
