I wonder if someone could add a ‘no flop clause’. I like Griffen, plays hard, doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously and comes across as hard working, which bodes well for his future growth as a player. But his flopping is awful and has to stop (though obviously he’s not the only one).

Good signing-Griffin is a beast and could very well become the face (or at least share with Durant) of the league when Kobe/Lebron get a bit older. Seems kind of quiet off the court and to have a sense of humor about himself also which is a bit refreshing in a league where prima donnas have ruled for the last decade.

This is your new Clippers, Sterling is a jackass, but no fool, those sellouts this past year put a smile on his face and he will spend some $$ to keep Griffin, even if the team is not competitive, Griffin is a freak in a circus town of freaks and that sell tickets. They need to get bigger and taller, so Kenyon Martin is not a piece. Even though he played well in limited minutes in the playoffs.

It’s a little surprising. In the past, namely with Elton Brand, the Clips let the market decide the players value. Sure it led to bad blood when his extension was up, but by then Brand was already pretty washed up anyway. I figured Sterling would pull the same move and get Griffin for the same number of years for less money and watch him walk away when his freakish athleticism is in decline.

We’ll see if he’s willing to fork over the kind of dough it’ll take to keep Chris Paul. That’ll be the real litmus test as to whether or not things really have changed in clipperland. By the way, have they hired a GM yet?
