why arent the Hornets interested in him??? Tim Floyed and Jeff Van Gundy said he’s better at point guard! He’s a combo-guard (scoring pg) to the T!!! He, Gordon, Davis….sounds great! plus we got plenty $ to sign free agents!!!

1. Suns- run with Nash, they need a SF bad.
2. Celtics- Ray Allen is pretty much gone so they need a younger shooting guard.
3. Cavs- Had they not drafted Waiters, this woulda been a no brainer, even still Waiters can slide to his bench role like he did at Syracuse. Lol.
4. Wolves- Need a SG badly.
5. Mavericks- With Jason Terry probably walking they need a younger SG.

I don’t know if replacing Ray Allen with Mayo makes the Celtics better or not. Certainly they would be adding a younger, more athletic player. You would expect him to buy in with the veterans the Celtics have. If they re-sign Bass and Jeff Green, KG decides to come back, get a healthy Avery Bradley back, and develop their draft picks, you have to think the Celtics are deeper and better than this year.

They would also likely be able to get Mayo for cheaper and still be able to sign another free agent. There are a lot of big “ifs” for Boston, but if they could pull it off, they are in the mix again.

You know if Billy King was interested, he would have already offer Mayo a 6 year 190 Million dollar deal. No matter the cap consequences.

He is what he is, which is exactly what he was as a junior in high school, a below average shooter who wants to shoot every time he touches the ball. Ego > talent by a mile, and his total lack of improvement and development means there is no up side, this is the best he will ever be. Attitude, work ethic, or just not that talented, who knows why, but the dude just hasn’t gotten any better.

Exactly, aren’t really too many moves that can be made. I was thinking maybe if Denver was willing to take on extra salary (probably not) they could send Rip there for Rudy Fernandez. It would open a couple million in cap room. Those are the only kind moves that they can make at this point.

Clippers should look into it if they have space, which I have no idea if they do. He is similar to Nick Young, but I think he is slightly better. Would be cool to have him back in LA.

Yep. I’ve been secretly wishing they would pick Mayo up for the last year or so. He’d be a great compliment to Rose at the 2. When the bulls resign Asik, they’re going to be just over the cap and they don’t want to go much over, so I don’t see it happening. Unless the bulls can swing a trade to free up some cap space, it won’t happen unfortunately.
