They should have offered both Gasol and Bynum for Dwight and some other pieces when they had the chance– yes, it was overpaying, but they would have been rid of Gasol’s contract, and Bynum’s knees and attitude. After their inconsistent play in the playoffs, the Lakeshow may really be stuck. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bunch of guys.

First post “Team X is shopping Player X”. 12-24 hours later “Team X is not shopping Player X”. In truth the teams just didn’t get an offer they wanted. They would still trade “Player X”. Or the stories are just made up.

I don’t think they trade Gasol. I think they know they are stuck with him.
They are floating rumors just to appease the overzealous unrealistic fanbase. They can say they “tried”.

The Lakers got old and no one wants the broken down pieces. Weakest bench in the NBA too. It’s got to suck to be a Laker fan right now. Stuck with 2nd round, soon to be 1st round exits. Kobe era ending soon. It’s no wonder they lash out at facts when they are presented to them.
