He’s a bit of a gamble, but if you’re not in the top 5 picking they’re all pretty much the same player. His character issues are why he fell so far so maybe it works out, maybe it doesn’t.

I’m a Sixers fan and I don’t like this move, but here me out.

Moultrie is a talent, obviously. That’s why he’s being drafted into the NBA. But he has some weaknesses that scare me a little bit too much:

1. His defense. If you look at scouting videos of him you will notice how awful he is at rotating and understanding the concept of team defense.

2. His lack of a defined post game. A lot of scouts call him “raw” offensively.

3. His character issues. There were instances where he would not hustle back on defense if he didn’t get passed the ball. He also called out his team to the media. I like how he has competitive spirit, but he takes his angry energy and turns it against the team instead of using it for the benefit of the team.

Overall, he reminds me a lot of Marreese Speights. Another big man who can shoot the ball well and can rebound decently, but who also has little post game and struggles to play defense.

Right now, I like Lavoy Allen and Nikola Vucevic better than this guy, so I’m not sure where he will get his minutes.

The Heat dont need a draft anymore these next few years are all about what Vets want to come to Miami on league minimum vet contracts for a shot at a title. Its going to be hard for rookies to take roster spots, they will have to be real special or massive. Next up, Jason Kidd, Antwan Jamison, Kwame Brown. Would like to see Humphries down on the box but he still wants to get paid rather than win a title.

Good move. Don’t need to guarantee a rookie money at this point, so pick up a 1st in one of the years that we gave ours up for LeBron. And the big dude from LSU means we don’t have to guarantee Pittman any $. Well played.
