I didn’t see tons of Indy throughout the year, but I thought Hill was quite a liability for them in the playoffs. The guy is wild and inconsistent. Solid young team though–they need to look for a true stud to ensure they don’t get stuck in Atlanta Hawk/Philly 76er territory, though.

YES!!! Walsh is great and as a Pacers fan I will take him advising the team in any capacity. I think Bird goes for the quick fix too often and Walsh seems to take a longer term view. I would have much rather had Marshon Brooks or Faried for 4 years than trading for Hill because he was a “home town guy” and now he is a free agent. He played well but build through the draft.

Bird is taking a year off to deal with “unspecified” health issues before he wants to decide to return to a front office positon.

Too good to be true for those 3 to work together at the same time.
