I might be the only one in the world who thinks this but, since before college ball started this year, I said thomas robinson is the best player and I still firmly believe so. The Hornets are gonna make a mistake not taking trob. You heard it hear first.

Except for the fact Beal couldn’t shoot just a few months ago against college defenders (even his 77% FT% was nothing special) and is not a distributor, this makes sense.

I’m not sure you want to include Spoelstra on that list… he isn’t a very good coach with or without a title in my opinion. MJ has made some terrible moves and Rod Higgins put his son Cory on the team last year. The point with Dunlap is college assistant coaches do not get NBA head coaching jobs. He got the job because he would work for the least amount of money. MJ dumped Chandler for nothing and Gerald Wallace to cut costs. I don’t blame Dunlap for taking the job but there is no way he was the most qualified guy out there.

Give Dunlap a chance, you never heard of Popovich, Frank Vogel, Spoelstra, etc…either before they proved themselves. Everyone was a nobody at some point.

To his credit, Cho is actually a hell of a GM. Made some good moves for Portland, and hasn’t gotten a chance to make an impact in Charlotte yet.

He’s all about advanced metrics and the like, so won’t be making any boneheaded picks based off workout warriors or anything like that. If you’re a Bobcats fan, you have to at least feel good about Cho being on board. Let’s see if his voice can be loud enough to drown out those who have made some dumb picks in the past.

Also, Kemba and Biyombo are looking like they can be good to very good players at this level, so the Bobcats should get some credit for picking them up last year

if they don’t draft bradley beal they will regret for the duration of his career. it will be another black eye for jordan as an owner. he seems to have emerged as the 2nd sure thing in this draft behind anthony davis

To be fair… if the guys at the top were that smart (Cho not included) they would have drafted better players in the past and wouldn’t have Dunlap as a coach. They need to call the Rockets…. they are trading everything that isn’t nailed down right now.

‘the guys up top are smart’ you gotta love new hires towing the company line. It’s one thing to sit at a bar and talk a good game of hypothetical basketball, lots of people can talk a great game. But then when you look at the actions of people… well, I guess we’ll just see how it goes for the bobcats.

There’s no clear-cut #2 pick, so this makes sense. When you look at the various mock drafts, you can find any number of guys slotted in that second spot. It really is based on “team need” at this point. If the Wizards are so dead-set on Beal, why don’t they make an offer to move up that one spot and prevent someone else from getting their guy?
