Report: Tony Parker needed eye surgery, Olympics still likely

This might help you understand why Tony Parker was frustrated enough to file a $20 million lawsuit.

He had to have surgery or he could have lost an eye injured as a bystander in a TMZ dream fight in a club in New York, and in a couple weeks he’s flying back to the United States to have an eye specialist look at it, reports Emiliano Carchia of the fantastic international hoops site Sportando.

The doctor has given him the green light to play in the London Olympics for France, Sportando adds.

Paker and his girl just happened to be in the nightclub where Drake and Chris Brown (and their entourages) got in a fight over Rihanna (who both of them dated, as has the Knicks’ J.R. Smith, so draw your own conclusions, but she reportedly likes a good party).

When the fight got out of hand and bottles started flying, Parker tried to protect his date and took a bottle off the eye. He ended up with a scratched cornea and said that the bottle penetrated his eye and he almost lost it.

Parker has sued the owners of the New York club for $20 million for allowing the fight to happen (having the feuding stars in the club and giving them plenty of drinks). Parker is not going to get that much, but you can see why he might be frustrated. Actually, more like pissed off.

Its not the bar’s fault. The idiots throwing the bottles are. Is the bar and bouncers psychic and can predict when dumbasses are going to start tossing?

He should go after the two punks instead. I’m sure they have more money than the club

This nonsense of hanging out in clubs would never have been tolerated when you were to married to Eva Longoria. Now look at you. Ass clown!

Chris Brown really needs to be put down for the good of humanity.

If he was with super fine Eva, this would not have happened. I’m jus’ sayin’.

I feel bad for Tony Parker- serious eye injuries are painful and scary. But it doesn’t make much sense for him to sue the club… he should sue Chris Brown and Drake. They (and their “friends”) were responsible for the fight that caused Parker’s injury.

As long as he sues the club, I don’t feel sorry for him. He should sue Drake and Brown, that’s who caused it. He should get nothing from the club, he just don’t want to sue his bros.

Perfect example of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
