@thekingdave
1. free agency is a relatively new thing. most players in sports USUALLY did not have the benefits of free agency that they do today
2. your highlight of TRADED is COMPLETELY MEANINGLESS. so you think sign and trades happen WITHOUT the agreement/input/or otherwise consent of superstars.

don't be a clueless idiot. look at the last 32 NBA championships since 1980 (i could go back further and utterly destroy your idea of one guy winning it all but i'll save you the embarassment). out of all these, you got maybe last year's mavericks as a team with one guy and 11 players that couldn't do anything else. great...you can have the exception. good job.

use your brain.

Wow. I try to rationalize the so called "anti-Lebron" stuff and be fair about it, only to be greeted by the complete opposite end of the spectrum. These hardcore "pro-Lebron" fans are just as irrational as the people they mock. Let me go through your idiotic list which COMPLETELY misses the point for the most part.

A declining Malone plays his final season with the Lakers. Big deal. A prime Malone bailing on the Jazz after stringing them out all season would be a valid comparison.

A declining Shaq TRADED to Miami due to a personality conflict with kobe bryant

Drexler in the twilight of his career TRADED to his hometown Rockets for Otis Thorpe

Chris Paul TRADED to the Clippers

Charles Barkely TRADED to the Suns, and is still the guy by the way. Kevin Johnson, really? Lay off the crack pipe dude.

Garnett TRADED to the Celtics after initially refusing to join the team

Barkley TRADED to the Rockets for a package built around Robert Horry and Sam Cassell, who would both go on to play for 10 plus years.

Parrish TRADED to the Celtics

When Howard does leave, he will still BE THE GUY, even if he goes to Brooklyn (Yes, he's a bigger force than Deron Williams)

Even if these players had not been traded, the only ones on your list who COME CLOSE to Lebron's talent and stature in the league at the time are Chamberlain and Jabbar, PERIOD. I could keep going on, but I don't think it will do any good. The vast majority of people are over it besides the psychotic ones hanging out on the internet. What's really annoying is all this immense praise as if the Heat are doing something truly extraordinary. I merely state that they are doing what they should be doing, should have done last year, and should be favored to do for the next 6 years unless someone gets hurt or three of the top 10 players in the NBA hit free agency together and collude to join forces again. Use your brain.

Not a Heat fan, nor from Pitt, Balt. or Cincy (always have to throw that in for Cleveland Fan's benefit).

All this garbage is coming from a fan base that:

1) cheered two Browns QBs getting injured;
2) started an Art Modell death watch;
3) allowed Steeler fans year after year to take over their own stadium;
4) walked out on their team just after the start of the fourth quarter in those same games because the team was losing;
5) has repeatedly ignored the Indians (last in MLB attendance) then lectured other fan bases for not being "hard core";
6) embraced the moronic Dan Gilbert as a folk hero;
7) ignored the Cavs until LeBron resurrected that dump of a franchise;
8) littered the Cleveland Browns Stadium field with beer bottles after a "bad call" against JAX several years ago;
9) defended Jim Tressel, saying that that liar and cheat was just kind of like "a father defending his children"';
10) constantly bitched for 15 years about the Browns moving and yet couldn't care less about any other city losing a sports team ("They deserved it, we didn't!")
11) burned LeBron jerseys and actually drove by his house in Akron to scream obscenities;
12) launched www.drafttroysmith.com several years ago;
13) decided that Brandon Weeden is the next Roger Staubach;
14) has always believed this equation: Kosar > Kurt Warner;
15) has worn both "OKCleveland" and "Mavaliers" t-shirts (as if anybody in OKC or Dallas wants the support of the fans of a team that belongs in a developmental league);
16) blamed LeBron (since he left) for the team not being able to get free agents (I'guess LeBron's the reason NFL and MLB free agents don't come here, too);
17) repeatedly referred to Romeo Crennel as "fat ass";
18) never stopped whining about the drive, fumble, losing the WS to Atlanta, and Jordon's shot over Ehlo;
19) treated Derek Anderson like dog**** for three years and then cried like babies when he called them cutthroat and ruthless (truth hurts);
20) calls every other fan base "front runners";
21) ripped on LeCharlies Bentley after he requested his release (after contracting staph, and almost dying one night);
21) and, of course, who can forget 15 years of crying about the Browns being located and then turning around and rooting for a relocated NBA team?

It's an irrelevant sports city with the biggest sense of self-entitlement in the world. No matter the sport, Cleveland sports fans love nothing more that for the world to view them as victims and feel sorry for them. Of course this is how they react. What right did LeBron have to actually make his own decisions?

He took your team as far as he could. You had the guy for six years. You don't own the guy. It's a shame you can't take pride in a player that is as talented as he is coming from Ohio. But hey, pride isn't exactly your strong point.

Nothing says "Cleveland sports fan" like a bunch of maniacs acting childish, pounding their fists, and stomping their feet.

Umm, I dont know if youve been watching the palyoffs and the finals but Wade has been anything but a superstar in these games. And I've been a Heat fan since they came into the league. Lebron, not Wade or Bosh scored 45points against the CELTICS in game 6, he single handely won that game for the Heat, without Lebron the Heat would not have made it this far and its obvious from his stats and the clutch shots he made this entire playoffs and finals. He's been the most consistent of all the Heat players. Lebron doesnt need other superstars so he can win the big one he just doesnt need the scrubs from Clevland playing as horrible as they did. Dan Gilbert should not have been so cheap and invested his money in bringing in some real help for Lebron. Lebron carried that team, he was playing 1 vs 5 the whole time he was in Clevland still took them to a finals. Jordan didnt do it alone, Magic didnt do it alone and Bird didnt do it alone, neither did Dirk or Kobe for that matter, the only former NBA player to talk that trash was Barkley and even he left is beloved Sixers. Lebron stayed in Clevland for how long, 7 yrs? So us non-NBA players don't have a right to judge him for switching teams, leave that up too former NBA champs to do so.

I totally agree kingdave. Lebron will definitely considered to be one of the greats, there is no question about that, but Michael, Magic, and Larry all have something in common. They spent their prime years with the team that drafted them and instead of joining up they created rivalries that made the NBA great, they had help, no question but they were good enough to win multiple titles without leaving.

I have been following the posts here, without comment, for 6 months now and have grown tied of all the hatred directed toward LBJ. I have a suggestion: Go visit Cleveland for 1 week! Then you will understand the narrative. If not, then all the excuses you use for hating on LBJ may be a sign of something more than you claim.

The game last night was one of the best finals games I've seen in a while. OKC will learn and grow, and The Heat will be Champions soon.

lol,
yeah the asterisk is going to read "Lebron MVP for the season, MVP for the finals, injured his leg and still hit a three pointer with a hand in his face, and finally silences all his haters" wohooo.
Nice try but you just can't bring us down fool, pitty you. We will defenitely enjoy the this title knowing how miserable you and all the haters are pissed right now. Loving it, Loving it, Loving it, it's just makes it that much sweeter.
