MJ… as always…. went with the cheapest possible option… period. NBA teams do not hire college assistant coaches to be head coaches. The reason being….. the players won’t have any respect for him. Hire him as a defensive coach if you want his “creative (college) defensive mind”. They figure they can lose 60 games with anyone so why not save some money. To recap MJ won’t change the Bobcats stupid name because it would cost 10 million, he cap dumped Chandler and Wallace… and now he hires an assistant coach from an also ran college team. What a waste of an NBA team.

Why interview three guys as finalists — Jerry Sloan, Brian Shaw and Quin Snyder — then hire outside that circle? Who knows?

Its called research…

The reason why is because once Sloan dropped out they brought Dunlap BACK IN for another round of interviews. This was on the Charlotte Observer, a simple cut & paste would have provided this info. But of course its much more fun to be smug & sarcastic…makes for better reading, I get it
