FYI—The career would include his Mariner stats, and with the Yankee’s before the 09 ALCS was below .100, or in that vicinity I think? It can accurately be argued the Yankee’s would not have even made the playoffs without his play during the season, and even that to a large extent his overall numbers justify his huge salaries. Can’t say he wasn’t viewed as a choker those years before the ring, much like LeBron now.

Part of the public perception of LeBron James being a nitwit is the “taking my talents to South Beach” and the fact the Heat would win multiple championship statements a couple of years ago. LeBron is only 27 now, and 25 when he made the goofy statement. He looks 45, so don’t expect proper maturity to go with the very mature face. Alex is good looking, while LeBron is the Big Ugly so he is cut some slack. It would be a shame if the Heat won the championship. It would emphasize substance over greed if the Thunder do not win. We should all hope that speed and class defeats the choice of the tools of South Beach.

Of course he played A++ ball to the end of his contract and jumped ship to the Rangers for $250 Million–yeah, like ANY sane person wouldn’t? Well, after the Rangers decided that was an insane amount, they traded him, by agreeing to swallow more than half his remaining contract, to the—-yep, mr “stayed put”, the Yankees. Ah, but they already had a HOF Shortstop named Derrick Jeter, so here’s the “second fiddle” playing Third, but making way more than Jeter or anybody else in the league and choking big time in the playoffs for several years. My guess is he has been widely vilified for all this at least on a par with “Bron-Bron”. Maybe you don’t want to see the parallels?
