Maybe Jerry couldn’t get MJ to sign on hiring Karl Malone as assistant coach to teach the forwards how to play basketball. Bad Blood with those 2 guys.Karl dissing MJ , picking Scottie over MJ for the Dream Team. ha ha! OR maybe Jerry want Isiah for a ball boy ! more bad blood.

I think he pulled himself out because he may have felt disrespected in a sense of being a finalist along with two would-be first time coaches. He’s a legend, an all time great. To be in a pull of rookie candidates and not be the clear cut choice may have upset him.

as I’ve mentioned before I hope Quin Snyder gets it because he went to my high school. It would also mean he’s no longer on the Lakers coaching staff.
