He might turn out to be the next Dwight Howard (he’s not Duncan or Garnett; those guys can shoot the ball and are great post players).

Right now, he looks more like Sarge Ibaka than anyone else. Davis has zero back to the basket game, and very little face-up game. He’s just a tremendous shot-blocker and finisher, with good footwork potential and overall coordination. That all means he has worlds of potential, but everyone knows that big men are always big projects.

He should go #1 overall, but that pick is definitely tradeable. Someone mentioned LaMarcus Aldridge plus the 6th pick…I know it’ll never happen but if it was on the table, I would seriously consider it.

He’s the OWNER, not the GM. A trade like this would obviously need to get green lighted by him, but he doesn’t come up with the proposals.

Anyways, can’t blame the Cavs for trying, and I like that they’re staying active. I like the idea of them trading down for Portland’s #6 and #11 (likely still able to get Barnes at #6), but I’m not sure that they have the assets to convince them to pull the trigger.
