I don’t know about all these theories, but there sure are a lot of coincidences in recent lotteries. Sort of begs the question, when the lottery is being drawn, which team absolutely needs the first pick the most? and I’m not talking about record-wise.

I disagree with the line “if the Bobcats won Stern would be helping Jordan”…..NO, if the Bobcats would have won, it would make sense because they had the best chance of winning. The teams with the best chance to win should be winning it more than they do. It’s become more of “Lets see which team jumps up and gets lucky this time”.
And Cleveland already got payback for James, they had the top pick last year, but they got the pick from the Clippers. Little slight of hand throws everyone off!

Anothony Davis the biggest name and best player to come out of college in a decade!?!?!?

I love AD as much as the next guy but daaaaaaaaayum, that’s some serious kush you’re chief’n over there!

He’s good, and I would draft him with the 1st pick, but I’m not even convinced he will even win R.O.Y. next year! And franchise changer, I not so sure about that, he’s a building block to help you win but not a #1 option and maybe not even a #2. His attitude and ethic will help change the culture in a positive way but he’s no Duncan type franchise saver or even Garnett-like as I’ve been hearing.

Stern shrugs off everything with a smug look.
From everything to Donaghy being one rogue ref to Miami’s big 3 plotting to team up for 3 years while Lebron threw the series vs Boston with a so called bad elbow, to playoff seedings being busted like having an 8 seed play a 4 seed in the end round.

The facts is the lottery itself should be televised and whoever has the number combination gets up like bingo and says we got it. You don’t see state lotteries held backstage and then the numbers announced later via envelopes do you? The numbers come up thru the shute on live tv.

Perception can quickly turn into more than reality if a Commissioner keeps shrugging. There’s no shortage of conspiracy theories about officiating – helped by some very questionable technical fouls ( not to mention the lack of even one foul called on LeBron in Game 7)

One official did jail time for betting on games and throwing the point spread so that’s reality, not perception

Stern needs to address these things head on, not just shrug, or fans will believe conspiracies and stop being fans

The best player in a decade was drafted to… CLEVELAND. Seriously? If the NBA was rigged, the smallest markets would not be loaded. In that year, both Chicago and New York were in the lottery.

Rather, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston, and Atlanta would all have top picks, whenever in the lottery.
