Video: Miami Heat victory locker-room dance party

Jun 10, 2012, 10:21 PM EDT

I’m really not sure about the musical overlay on this one from NBA.com… but the video works.

The Miami Heat succeed when they are having fun — their “flip the switch” moments seem to come when they are comfortable, have fun and the game starts to flow for them from there. They did that in the fourth quarter of Game 7 against Boston, and it carried over into the locker room after the game where an impromptu dance party broke out.

Pretty sure this wasn’t the music, however.

Lmao at Juwan Howard jumping in at the end and everyone stopping and returning to their lockers. No one wants to dance with the old guy.

Put this down as reason 37 for why I like the Thunder in the finals…

look, you can still see the dried tears stained in the carpet from losing to the Mavericks last year… that’s awesome…

    • southbeachtalent - Jun 11, 2012 at 9:20 AM

I heard the Celtics bus still has moist spots..

    • 1972wasalongtimeago - Jun 11, 2012 at 3:08 PM

Actually, the carpet has a big old NBA Championship trophy from beating the Mavericks a few years back. All of you bandwagon Anti-Heat fans think the league started in 2010. Bunch of bandwagon phonies.

Where was the Heat Hate in 2008 when they won 15 games? Where was it 2005 when Shaq made his big entrance in a Diesel Truck with Water Guns? Where was it when they traded the #3 pick in 1990 (Chris Jackson) for the #9 & #15 (Willie Burton & Alec Kessler)? Where was the Heat hate when Pat Cummings was rocking the tighty whities?

None of you really hate the Heat. You’re just a bunch of fake wannabes.

Good thing they are celebrating now, because the Eastern Conference Championship is the last championship they will celebrate during the 2011-2012 season.

Love the bitter and painful envy coming from some of you. Enjoy being left out

    • southbeachtalent - Jun 11, 2012 at 2:02 PM

It is satisfying isn’t it? I freakin love it.

That’s right EAT IT. Now on to the final step in this long journey.

Don’t think any will be invited on Dancing with the Stars.

Must be feeling good to escape the Celtics and sneak to the Finals again.

  13. 700levelvet - Jun 11, 2012 at 9:17 AM

Why are they dancing……..???? They haven’t won anything yet…

    • southbeachtalent - Jun 11, 2012 at 9:22 AM

They do have a right to celebrate in the locker room. It’s not about the ECF win, its about getting another shot. they have every right to be celebrating.

  14. 700levelvet - Jun 11, 2012 at 9:24 AM

They look like a bunch of special education students who hear the ice cream truck coming up the street…….

  15. truthhurtstoo - Jun 11, 2012 at 10:40 AM

V is for VICTORY! However, I’d rather see Kate Upton hop up and down in future…
