They measure w/ & w/o shoes because they dont want ppl to put risers in their shoes to make them taller.

Wow. I know long and lanky gives the illusion of being taller, but everytime I saw Anthony Davis, even though they list him as 6''10, I always thought he looked 6''11-7''0. Andre Drummand too. Can't believe he's only 6''9 (.75 blah blah blah..). It's also funny how shoes give you that extra inch-1.25 inches and transforms someone from 6''9 to 6''11 or 6''8 to 6''10 or 6''7 to 6''9 (that's kinda a big difference.) Another thing I noticed, is there any real, true 7''0er out there!? Besides Roy Hibbert. Or are they all 6''11 guys turned 7 with shoes on! I wish they would just put players TRUE hieght out there and not their shoe hieght. What was Charles Barkley in real life, 6''4-6''5??

After scanning the list, my initial thought was “I thought platform shoes went out in the ’80s”. Kidd-Gilchrist gains almost TWO inches! My second thought was after reading #dalucks comment, and I agree… any of these guys play WITHOUT their shoes on? If they do, maybe I change my draft order

This looks like a lot of overthinking. All that should matter is can a guy play, how well does he score the basketball and can he help the team win. The most important intangible is what you do on the basketball court.
Really, who cares how tall a player is without shoes especially since you play basketball with your shoes on.
