In a word, yeah that’s what they are looking for. You shouldn’t be surprised by this. People have been speculating that team USA would want an interior banger to use against Spain and this is the name that kept coming up.

I don’t think he’s a thug, but you can obviously see that Kevin Garnett has had some influence on him. In both good and bad ways.

But even with the good, he’s still at best a scrub. The Select team should be about talent with the potential to make an Olympics or Worlds team down the road. Stiemsma has the potential to be a starter one day… on the Bobcats.
