Seriously, I don’t see why everybody is saying the draft was rigged. Y’all are acting as if the Hornets had the 14th spot and had a .5% chance at getting #1. The Bobcats had a 75% chance that they didn’t get the first pick, somebody had to.

Laker for life, my friend. I’ve already endured a few dry spells (mid 90′s and mid 2000′s) so i know its just impossible for a team to be great year in n’ year out. i realize that. i also admit that i beat my chest a little harder when they do good, i’d expect any fan of their team to do that. (cue Spurs fans)

Well loungefly, allow me to be the first to congratulate you on being the first sensible sounding Laker fan. My comments were directed at the other 99% of the tools trolling the board claiming in perpetuity Laker dominance. If you’re capable of handling the next couple years and are still a fan, then you would be a TRUE fan. Again part of the 1% club.

I’m one of the biggest Laker fans here and I don’t think the draft was rigged…

I have a theory. I would venture to say that nearly every person claiming that Stern “rigged” the Lottery are Faker fans still sore about CP3. Tell ya what tools, do yourselves a favor and research the REAL reason that trade fell through. Jason Smith, that’s right. i don’t think the lottery was rigged. just not a conspiracy-type guy…though its fun speculation.

i’m happy for the hornets and hope they build a stable squad where Davis would be proud to stay at his entire career.

but…remember folks, there is no sure thing. lets take a look at some past drafts:

2005: #1 Bogut, #2 Marvin Williams
2006: #1 Bargnani
2007: #1 Oden
2008: #2 Beasley
2009: #2 Thabeet

the point is…the winner, right now, 5/31/2012, are the Hornets…but in 2+ years…who knows…

I don’t understand how Billy King is able to get a job as GM in the league. I wouldn’t let him GM my fantasy team. Forget about the Wallace deal, I’d D Will walks look at what he gave up for him. If he would of done nothing it would have been better.

I doubt that the lottery was rigged. But it does make for some interesting chatter. They should throw Billy King out of the league. First he screws up the 76ers and now he has destroyed the Nets.

Do we need further proof that the nba is just like wwe? Really a lottery that a team that the league had to beg someone to buy gets the first pick? I see them sitting around the table saying look Tom if you take the deal we are offering today only we will throw in a first round pick and a couple of trade vetoes and 1 all-star game . Funny thing is he should have held out for more other owners were sick of having a parasite like this franchise .

How in the world can the author say that charlotte dropping to #2 is not a big deal? It is a devastating blow that will set jordan and the franchise back several more years. They just lost the only franchise elite player in the draft.
