They don’t need Lin for marketing. NY is basketball crazy and the stadium is always full during a good season or bad. What the Knicks will do is overpay Lin, and if he can’t duplicate Linsanity or bring them to the promiseland, they will be looking to get rid of another big contract they’re stuck with.

rickyspanish, what a rcrazy comment. Lin’s best days are ahead as a Knick. The Knicks martketing made what his value is today. He was put into that position because of Melo’s suggestion to the coach. He is loved in NY and as a point guard Melo needs him. His value would decrease anywhere else. New York is a MEGA MARKET. New York is Carmelo’s team but every team needs a point guard.

Curious to see if he’s good or not. A lot of hoopla over a small sample. If he is good, he doesn’t want to be in NY, Carmelo let everyone know that NY is his team.
