Coaches like to tell you that Game 6 between Boston and Philadelphia wasn’t ugly, that was just good defense all around. Personally, I think in the NBA good offense can beat good defense often enough to make it interesting, but in that game the offenses were bad. Boston’s was just worse.

The real architect of that Celtics defense was Tom Thibodeau. Thibs is the real reason why Boston won that lone title. The Celtics won’t win one this season…and not for a while afterward either.

1.Celtics had the best defense in the league. Was Thibs somehow involved with that while in Chicago?
2. Worry about your own team. Take your last sentence and replace “Celtics” with “Lakers”.
