This should be a great match up. An old grizzled veteran team VS. the new kids on the block.

my 2 cents: the Thunder NEED to win this series or they might end up in NBA history in the same category as those “great and oh-so-close” teams of the late 90′s/early 2000′s :Sacramento Kings and Portland Trailblazers. remember those teams? great stars, fast n’ furious gameplans, deep benches, etc…but no Titles and are now just faded memeory/sidenote. The Spurs, with a win, further cement their legacy as one the greatest franchises in this NBA era (post MJ 1999-present) and one of the greatest of all time.

I do find it funny that either way the Heat and/or Pacers will play three straight games before the Western Conference Finals start. It’s funnier if the Heat or Pacers close out a Game 6 on Thursday and then would have one day off if Boston wins Game 6. Meanwhile the Spurs have 6 off days and the Thunder have 5.

I know the reason for it is because of the ESPN/TNT contracts. Still just in general the NBA playoffs have the oddest scheduling to me because of those contracts.
