USA Select team officially announced, no surprises

We told you already — via our man Matt Steinmetz at — who would be on the USA Select team. But now it is official, USA Basketball announced it Monday.

The USA Select team are the guys brought in to scrimmage and practice against the Team USA Squad going to London this year for the Olympics. The guys invited to the Select Team are the guys team USA is looking at for future Olympics.

Here is the team:

DeMarcus Cousins — Kings
Jeremy Lin — Knicks
Klay Thompson — Warriors
Kyrie Irving — Cavaliers
John Wall — Wizards
DeMar DeRozan — Toronto
Paul George — Pacers
Gordon Hayward — Jazz
Kawhi Leonard — Spurs
DeJuan Blair — Spurs
Ryan Anderson — Magic
Taj Gibson — Bulls
Derrick Favors — Jazz
