He won’t get close to a max contract. Owners and GMs have been watching him for years and know that he is not consistent enough to merit a max deal. Something like 4 years, $8 – 8.5 million per year sounds about right. Not saying that’s what he’s worth, just that that’s the range I expect him to land in.
