Rose opens up so, so much for there offense. So much. Korver gets wide open looks off his penetration. Joe cleans up the glass because his drives take defenders off the boards. That was incredibly apparent this series, as they went to the best offensive rebounding team in the league to a below average one. Rose, as the stats have shown all season, is the difference between the Bulls being the second best offensive team in the league to about the 16 best. Pretty big difference, especially in the playoffs against another great defensive team.

Tough loss, but I’ve said before, how many teams are going to win a playoff series without their best perimeter player and their best low post player (best scorer, best assist guy, best offense rebounder, best low post passer)? Would the clippers survive without Chris Paul and Deandre Jordan? OKC without Durant and Ibaka? Spurs without Parker and really anyone else. The only thing this series did was show you how great of a player Derrick Rose is.

Boozer on the bench, Hamilton and Deng lost somewhere, and the silliest stall ball seen in a deciding play-off game. If you think the return of a perfect D. Rose brings them to more than round 2 next year you are seeing something I’m missing.
