He actually has until the 15th of the month. The verbage in the contract states the 15th of the month or 3 days after their season ends

pretty sure you and everyone else knows what he’s getting at. don’t be a troll.

as far as the point he’s making i wouldn’t expect it to happen. if dallas is also going to make a run at d12 i’m sure picking up the same PG that he thought was ineffective in orlando wouldn’t be a selling point.

Orlando has dangled him multipel times to other teams. The D12 situation is a mess. I’d say get the duck out of fodge and pick ANY of the other .500 or above teams that need a veteran guard.

“I want to lay for a playoff team”….. good news 1/2 the league gets in, you have a 50/50 shot.

No chance he doesn’t opt out. Should be able to get a 3-yr $15m contract minimum imo…likely a lot better. With the uncertainty around the Magic right now I wouldn’t bank on Dwight being back for the start of the season.

Although he won’t make that much money in one year with another team, he should bolt where he wants to go. If he doesn’t he will be stuck on a one year contract and traded to God knows where. I repeat, if he stays, he WILL be used as trade bait to try to bring in some new, sexier piece to appease her majesty. He’s one of the better chips the Magic have on the table and they are in the buisness of cleaning house. Take off to where YOU want to go Jameer, Dwight ain’t yo friend lil’ homie, you will be the sacrificial lamb if you stay and your “friend” won’t say a thing.

It will be interesting to see what he is worth to teams. I am not sure he is worth much more than the mid-level exception. I loved him in college and he has had his moments with the Magic, but he is not a top 10 guard.
