Video: Metta World Peace tells Conan he has not called Harden

May 8, 2012, 12:08 AM EDT

Metta World Peace went on the Conan O’Brien Show Monday night, his first sit down interview since his seven game suspension for the elbow to the head of James Harden on the second to last game of the regular season.

World Peace said he had not contacted Harden yet because the two could — actually, almost certainly will at this point — meet in the next round and he wants to maintain the edge between them, but he did reach out to second parties to see if Harden was okay. Also, he danced around what he thought about the punishment, instead expressing former players not criticizing him.

If the Lakers close out the Nuggets Tuesday, World Peace would return for Game 2 of the Lakers series against the Thunder.

    He’s very articulate.

    That’s sarcasm by the way.

Said Thomas, scholar emeritus at Asinine University.

        Anyone named Clayton should know.

It never fails to amaze me. How people for one reason or another feel like it’s okay to talk smack about a person speech. He may not be as articulate as you are, but I’m willing to bet that, you are not half as good a ball player, not makes 1/1000 the salary he does. Chances are that you are some college grad, that still does’t make six fugures…lol.

Let’s see who has more money, Thomas or Ron, in 10 years. Or for instance, let’s see how much money Thomas makes compared to T.O.

        Sometimes being smart is useful.

well, he seems to be doing pretty well for himself regardless.

If squandering talent is doing well he’s the best.

Harden should call MWP to apologize for running into his elbow. That could hurt!
