Video: Top 10 plays from soon to be ROY Kyrie Irving

Apr 26, 2012, 1:55 PM EDT

Kyrie Irving is the run-away Rookie of the Year. There were points where we thought Ricky Rubio could be in the conversations, but really from the start Irving showed up ready and with more skill than we got to see during his injured college career. This turned out to be a great No. 1 pick by the Cavaliers.

Here is a look at his top 10 plays of this season.

He’s a beast..ROY became a joke when Blake Griffin won it in his second year..

David Robinson won ROY two years after he was drafted.

Once injury prone, always injury prone.

He’ll have a career like Tracy McGrady: Many stints on the injured list with a few flashes of greatness sprinkled in.

McGrady played in 91% of his games during the first eight years of his career. That’s pretty good. Sometimes a bad break is just a bad break.

Love Irving’s game. Deserved the award without doubt.

But a 3pt shot in the Rookie All-Star game? THAT was a top-10 highlight?

It’s like on sportscenter top ten.. They have two or so plays for one of the top ten plays. The perfect 3 pt shooting/rising stars MVP was one highlight in his rookie season.
