I can think of at least 5 big men that should go before Tyson Chandler. He was nothing more than a cheerleader in the 2010 FIBA’s. I think it would be embarrassing to have him represent our country.

wow. mcgee, cousins or glen davis? thats a mini-murderers row of dysfunction. the only good would be that any of them might benefit from being around all the leaders in the Team USA lockerroom. maybe Jordan, he’s the “lite” version of Chandler . he’s long, runs the floor but his shot blocking is fools gold, hes not really a great defender. Perk has been around champions and some of the best to play the game in the Big 3 in Boston. id like his intensity and as a lockerroom guy but not sure he has the ability to keep up with european bigs.

I think it would be cool to see anthony davis get a call up much like laettner in 92. he’s coming off a teriffic year. be a good experience for him to be around pros. he might be a bit to slight to compete with players who have their “man strength” for a full rotation but his length and energy could compensate somewhat. throw him in for some garbage minutes. sure there might be some pros more deserving but im sure the same could be said in 92.

It’s funny how we were discussing who should be cut from the final list and now see we need pretty much everyone left. Spain does scare me but as long as team USA plays unselfish bball/hustles/fast transition, gold medal is ours!
