Video: Kevin Garnett talks about naysayers, adversity

Apr 24, 2012, 12:33 PM EST

Early in this season the Boston Celtics could not find their flow — their once proud defense was pedestrian and their offense wasn’t getting it done. There have been plenty of people ready to bury them, to blow up the team.

Now they enter the playoffs as the team nobody wants to play early on, as a great defensive team again. We can debate whether that is good enough — it’s still hard to see this team getting past Miami or Chicago in the East, and if that is the case was not making a move the right call? — but this is certainly a good team.

With the start of the playoffs coming CSNNE.com will broadcast a sit down interview with Boston’s big four — Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo. In this snippet of that talk, KG talks about the early season adversity and how they overcame it.

Boston is overrated and won’t be winning anything this season…or anytime in the near future.

    • mornelithe - Apr 28, 2012 at 10:46 AM

Yeah…because teams who win nothing all season long get into the playoffs….smart thinking their Bozos.

      • bozosforall - Apr 28, 2012 at 9:14 PM

Winning as in a title, morononlithium

      • mornelithe - Apr 28, 2012 at 9:48 PM

You never said that to begin with, Bozos, sorry no edit function. Next time, articulate your thoughts and don’t leave yourself open for obvious responses such as that. Honestly, even though you’re probably the biggest tool in the world, I expect more from your trolling.

      • bozosforall - Apr 28, 2012 at 9:52 PM

Nowhere near the biggest tool in the world…not with so many native Bostonians out there.

      • mornelithe - Apr 28, 2012 at 10:00 PM

That’s the great thing about differing opinions Bozos, you have yours, and I have mine. And no matter what you say, mine remains steadfast. Sorry man, you’re probably capable of serious and thoughtful discussion, unfortunately, the only time I ever see you is when you’re regurgitating your incessant Boston vitriol. And whether I like them or not is really irrelevant, 99% of the time, people like you are simply ignored…because what’s the point? You have no valid opinion, no rational thought behind any of your arguments…simply unbridled hatred. Which makes you the biggest tool there is (maybe not the world, you’re right there…but definitely on these boards)

      • bozosforall - Apr 29, 2012 at 12:42 AM

So ignore me. I couldn’t care less. But you can’t. Because deep down, you know that there is much truth to what I say. The negative reputation of New Englanders as regards their attitudes towards others has been well documented and is well known. I wish that it was otherwise but that is not to be. If it ever changes, I will be the first to rejoice. But I won’t hold my breath on that.

      • mornelithe - Apr 29, 2012 at 8:48 AM

*yawn* I think we have some competition for the Mr. Irrelevant title this year.

      • bozosforall - Apr 29, 2012 at 7:38 PM

Yeah, plenty of irrelevant New England chumps here, including you, morononlithium.

  2. bozosforall - Apr 24, 2012 at 5:00 PM

I’ve just rung the bell…which one of you doggies will respond first?

    • andyhr17 - Apr 24, 2012 at 7:23 PM

Your team is a whopping 3.5 games better than the “lowly” Celtics. Their losing 15-17 record on the road is .5 games better. Maybe you should worry about your own team in the playoffs instead of how “pathetic” others teams are in your eyes.

      • bozosforall - Apr 24, 2012 at 7:25 PM

You mean like Bostonians have worried about the Yankees for the last 100 years? You idiots need to practice what you preach before calling anyone else out.

Thanks for ringing the bell though, little doggie.

    • andyhr17 - Apr 24, 2012 at 8:18 PM

Why in the hell are you talking about baseball on a basketball site? I think you’re more confused than we give you credit for.

      • bozosforall - Apr 24, 2012 at 9:05 PM

Deny it all you want to, Boston loser…but you chumps will ALWAYS be envious of New York. Keep on ringing that bell, little doggie.

Kevin Garnett looks so much better without those big ass diamond earrings on his ears. A great player, though.
