I’ve been coming to this site for a while now and this is the most I’ve seen people commenting on any topic. And it’s amazing how many racist people on here just want to slam the NBA and Artest as being thugs and gangsters. Not many have an opinion on the situation that’s not based on some kind of racist fueled hatred. At least that’s how it seems to me. And I don’t feel the league is being fair and just in this suspension. 7 games? Was anyone else suspended or fined for any of the other situations lately? Cause there have been a few this past month. And not one suspension, not even for a game!!!

If the Lakers organization had any class at all, they would dismiss Our mess (Artest/World Hater) from the team. He is a time bomb waiting to explode with even more damage than Sunday’s episode. Since the Lakers organization never showed the replay of the incident so their fans could see exactly what happened, I didn’t really expect them to do the right thing following Our-messes’ felonious assault on Hardin!

progress2011 – You are obviously a troll by the number of comments you have replied on this blog.

I worked for NBA at one time, and there were many African-Americans that played b-ball at that time – your comment about a “certain group of people”. Dr. J grew up on the streets of Philadephia, but he did not corrupt the game with “thug” moves.

And last, viewership and atttendance is not increasing in the NBA – too many players are in fact “thugs” hiding in a jersey and next, there is little parity in the NBA today.

Maybe you should change your handle to “Anti-progress2012″.

I totally dislike the lakers and un-sportsmanlike behavior. I believe Ron Artest / MWP, should be suspended for the season.

But if you ever watched bball in the 80′s (Bird,Magic, Kareem, Detroit Bad-Boy era ) you would know, that would have been a simple foul, maybe a technical but nothing more.

Peace is exactly why there is a decline in viewership and game attendance for the NBA. This was simply a “thug” move. Peace should have been suspended anywhere from 15-20 games for this incident.

Return of the NBA to the Great N.W. will infuse the area with hundreds of jobs and all the local businesses will profit….housing, car dealerships, retail stores, restaurants ….to include the cafe, where you sip your beverage.

The cafe would probably ask you to leave, to make room for one of the NBA players.
