How about the season can go back to ring longer… With less games spread out more???

Guess that would make too much sense.

I mean, look at the nfl. Most of the games on Sundays. Only 1 game played on Monday.

Yes, the nfl is now expanding and putting a game on every Thursday. But it’s still just 1 game. Not competing with itself.

I feel the nba, MLB, and NHL… Could allll benefit from less total games, spread out more.

The fans definitely would benefit. But who cares about them these days?

Think the article means something near a 70 game schedule rather than 82 games but with more normal rest. Could start in late November instead.

I agree with previous writers, this shorter schedule has just led to more injuries and more stars missing more games. I like the shorter schedule which schools be played out over entire regular season, but we know this will never happen.
The NBA is all about money, so get ready fans for the first round of playoffs to feel like a month. People will be surprised as to how much better the stars will play in playoffs with regular rest.

I wouldn’t mind less games if the season started at the normal time. This condensed schedule in shorter time leaves a weaker product.

What casual fans are you talking to? I would never want a condensed season like this. Injuries and ridiculous schedules killed my fantasy team. Not to mention my Celtics were barely watchable for the first half of the season. If there was a schedule like this every year nba players would be retiring at age 30!

Retired NBA players already can barely walk at 40 years of age, playing an average of 3 games per week. This year’s pace of playing an average of 4 games per week would cut player careers in half. That one extra game is a double-hit, because it also subtracts a day of healing rest. It would be the equivalent of MLB cutting pitching rotations from 5 days down to 4, without allowing roster expansions. It’s idiotic.

yeah cuz everyone loves to see teams rest superstars for more games than usual. I thought superstars sold tickets, not 3 games in 4 nights with bench players getting more minutes and stars striking poses in suits. Who are these people who like this junk?!?!
