Well deserve recognition. Very inspiring story, humble and most of all exciting to watch. It’s true that a lot of players do what he does in the court and some even better but the attitude and character makes the difference.

I agree. Me, I and myself love to watch Lin even he got 7TO in a game + 80% of the position in the team offense. His total impact is different. The only thing I hate is I don’t have a chance to buy his jersey.

China alone accounts for 1.4 out of the 7 billion people in the world. When 20% of the world and all of the other Asians (Japanese, etc.) look up to you and wake up at odd times just to watch you play, I’m pretty sure you are one of the most influential people in the world. Then again, Adele and Mitt Romney are on the list.

He’s a great kid and a fun player to watch. And no doubt he brings a big fan base to the Knicks and NBA. But one of the 100 most influential people in the world? That’s laughable.

Lin does well in spite of rookie mistakes. He’s smart and will get better.
Also, he came on the scene when the team was floundering and had nothing to lose. So he went all out. Why such a dislike for a kid that came out and played his heart out. He never once came out bragging about being all that. You can’t blame him for being hyped up by the public and NY Knicks. The kid just wants to play and is humble.

I agree with him being very influential. He brought a huge Asian fan base with him when he had his run. Was he over-hyped?? Hell yes, but then again welcome to 2012, where redundancy and overkill are standard practice in media coverage.

I was one that said lets let the season play out before we make him Nash.
